Sorry for the down time, but it was very much necessary. Due to some database corruption, the site’s board software could not be updated for several years now, but after some spam bot issues I decided to bite the bullet and fix it. Since the database is extremely large, most operations performed through web-based methods timed out, and SSH connections to our host would time out as well. In the end, I had to dump the database to my local machine, install an Ubuntu server with apache2, MySQL, and PHP in a virtual machine, perform SQL surgery, then reupload the entire database in dozens of individual chunks. It was a pain, but everything was a major success!
Because the forum software was so outdated, it needed to be reinstalled from scratch. All of the modifications (Quick Reply, Front Page news, Topic Titles on Index, etc.) had to be readded. I’m pretty sure I got everything. If you notice something different or wrong, be sure to post so that I can address it.
