Coding Contest

Metafox over at http://www.consolevision.com posted this news:

ragnarok2040 had suggested something that was quite a good idea.

A contest for the pressed homebrew CD that will be sold at cost (not for profit) hopefully around Christmas time this year.

The competition begins today, and runs through October 31 at noon EST. The voting will be done on these message boards and not through a poll (to eliminate the shenannigans that plagued the last coder’s competition) from Oct 31 – Nov 2. If all goes smoothly, that should give me enough time to squeeze the release out for Christmas.

The competition is open to everyone. The only requirements is that you enter original games (not ports). You can submit clones of games of course, but keep references to games and game sprite rips out of the submitted game if at all possible.

The winner will get their very own pressed CD, straight from the factory at absolutely no charge. So you can have your own game on a commercial quality release to show off to your friends. 🙂

Post all entries into the contest http://www.consolevision.com/forums/YaBB.cgi?board=DC_Discussion;action=display;num=1029133063;
