After some lengthy (and difficult) exams, I’m back and coding again. To celebrate, I’ve posted version 1.0 of DCTool, a GUI wrapper for Scramble.exe and sh-elf-objcopy.exe (aka ELF2BIN).

The neat thing is, it includes Right-Click-Integration (so it adds Elf2Bin to .ELF right-click menus, and Scramble/Descramble to .BIN right-click menus). If you have DCFactory installed, it will even auto-detect the paths to the needed programs (otherwise, you’ll have to point it to them manually).

So if you’re sick of fiddling with command-lines just to unscramble something quickly, DCTool is for you!

On an unrelated note, I’ve been working hard on DCFactory’s successor, and am already up to Beta 4. Once the last few bugs are ironed out, there will be a public release … so stay tuned for the ultimate Dreamcast CD mastering app.
