Project Mayo DivX player first release

gottahavit has released an early version of his PocketPC DivX port, currently only people with a coders cable can run it. Here’s what gottahavit had to say about it in this Project Mayo topic:

OK guys I’ve made you wait long enough I guess. LiENUS and I finally have something worth letting you take a look at. It should perform well on anything under 500kbits so long as the resolution is kept to 320X240 and below. I recommend 22khz mono or 44khz mono MP3 for the audio.

Now that we have a working version that you can play with we will be turning back to optimizing the performance so you can expect performance to improve with the next release.

Also bare in mind this is our first release so expect to reboot on occasion.

The zip file on my site includes source code and a Divx.elf that is the player. It supports disc swapping and uses the ghettoplay UI for now. Agian while this is opensource I would please ask not to see a hundred little versions of this pop up right now as things will change drastically in the near future. of course anyone with ideas on improving the performance please feel free to mock up you changes and send them too me. I will be working to get this into CVS soon as well.
