MegamanX: Odyssey news

After prodding him with a large stick for about half an hour, I’ve managed to get some new info out of MrSiggler about his homebrew game, MegamanX: Odyssey:

“The DC version is coming along nicely.

I moved to the nicer looking sprites used in the MegamanX games on the PSX. Also, I’ve decided full source and map editor will be released eventually, and also, now not only will it be a DC and Windows game, but will also have BeOS, and Linux ports. And I’m even tossing the idea of a scaled down GBA port. I wanted to port it to MacOS as well, but I don’t have a Mac. Hopefully I can get someone who has MacOS and knows C, to help me do a Mac port.

MMXO will definetly be 2 players, cooperative at once. Same screen, but the camera will zoom in, and out to allow more movement between players. Since I’m using the TA to render the map, may as well make use of the scaling and such it allows. The 2 player fighting game, will some what work along with the larger game, we’re gonna design it, so that MMXO can alter the fighting games VMU save, unlocking more players as you beat bosses in the larger game.”
