After having a quick chat with Wraggster of Console Vision over the weekend, I though I’d have another go at building the SH4 compiler on a different machine. This time it worked! I’ve now built a new DC Linux Kernel and once I’ve fixed my coders cable, I’ll give it a go on the Dreamcast. Hopefully, if all goes well, I’ll have a new DC Linux image up within a couple of weeks.Just to make it clear though, I’m not actually working on the code for the kernel. Therefore I wont be adding anything like sound or VMU support. What I am doing is tweaking the distribution to do the things I want it to do.
