I have decided to post MAME WIP news here, as it will soon be Dreamcast related, since I’m planning to resume work on warmtoe’s MAIM, which is a conglomeration of work from James Surine’s MAMED and the MAME team’s original MAME, and of course warmtoe’s improved sound driver, menu system, and other numerous fixes.
Three MAME developers have updated their pages recently with news about their various MAME additions, and which will concern MAIM in the future.
Haze has updated his MAME WIP page with screenshots of Spectrum 2000 running on the afega driver. The tile roms (and sprites) are missing, however.
Aaron Giles has updated his homepage with one piece of news that will be of benefit to MAIM, and one that will not. He has mentioned that he has been fixing various things that have been overlooked, such as items pertaining to memory management. He is also improving Voodoo emulation, but that is too new of a system to be emulated on the Dreamcast using MAIM, so that does not concern us.
Reip’s MAME WIP Page has been updated with screenshots of Data East’s Pro Golf running in MAME. This is the standalone version, not the cassette version.
