DC Emu news round-up

Thought I put all these news items into one post rather than having 5 small posts about them. First off, Burner0 has created a new selfboot kit which is apparently a lot easier to use than his previous releases. You can download it from Burner0’s site.

LiENUS has replaced the #1 & #2 bootstrap in his IP.BIN replacement, if you’d like to try the IP.BIN replacement out you can download it from boob!. So far it has been tested with DCfloys, Wolf3D/DC, PAL Enforcer & dcload. If you’ve tested it with other DC homebrew programs please let LiENUS know about it.

Peter Hatch has done a partial port of PLIB to the Dreamcast, any programmers interested in this should head on over to boob! to read more about it & for downloads of it.

Fragger made another small update to The Fraggers Place:

“Ugh! I forgot to check that… This is just to tell that some death messages are displayed in both top-of-screen (bprint) and screen-centered messages (centerprint). This is since the first release. All death messages will work this way on the next release.”

And lastly, for those that would like to play the full version of Wolf3D on the DC rather than just the demo levels, you might want to pick up the Febuary edition of US magazine PC Gamer, which has the full version of Wolfenstein 3D on it’s cover CD.

I’d like to thank burner0, LyonHrt & the man who put the “wood” in “Hollywood”, Hollywood Hasney, for this DC Emu news round-up.
