Wolf3D/DC/KOS news

crt0 has posted some Wolf3D news on the CV forums, it’s had a slight name change amongst other things:

“Wolf3D/DC is now known as Wolf3D/DC/KOS

Hmm… I’ve got Wolf3D up and running, compiled with KOS rather than libdream. All the menus look correct now (you can thank a real libc for that ), no more “New GameDemoooo” and so on. However, there are quite a few negative issues to report. The first: it’s UGLY. I don’t know what happened to the video initialization code in KOS-1.1.5, but the 320×240 mode looks more like 160×120 to me … the second big problem, and I think this may be attributed to a little difference in the timing base of Wolf3D versus Doom (used the DoomDC timing code in Wolf3D/DC/KOS), is that it runs at about 50% of the speed the libdream-compiled version ran at. That’s a big issue that cannot be overlooked… Lastly… sound is finally being worked on… hopefully DCGrendel gets back to me on that (and has it working )… thats all for now…”
