My fellow Australian, ss_teven, has reported some news at his site about an unfortunate incident involving a Dreamcast, a coders cable & his feet:

“Argh! Sorry, I was expectng to release a beta of DarcDC and another of SMSPlus! this weekend, but I tripped over my coders cable which knocked over my dreamcast, and now it wont work at all (my coders cable..) 🙁 I presume something is short circuited, cos i’ve checked everythin, but it looks okay, yet the metal case, and the serial port connection keeps shocking me.. which aint good..

… or it could be the chip is buggered, i sent off for another chip (max3233) from MAXIM but it’ll take a week to arrive (UK to Australia VIA Airmail), so i guess i’ll have to sit back, wait, and see…”

Oh well, I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes. Thanks to dielray for reminding me to post this 3 day old news!
