Sega to offer official Development kits

The March issue of Next-Gen preludes us to some potentially great news. On pages 16-17 Next-Gen reports Sega will be releasing a home development kit for the Dreamcast. Basically anyone with a PC, and enough coding experience will be able to produce working code on the system.

This is keeping in a sort of tradition with failed Sega systems. Just before the death of the Saturn, Sega had released official tools for amateur Saturn developers to work with. Such a move for the Dreamcast will really give the scene a kick in the pants.
